 
Annual 5K & Fun Run to Fight Childhood Obesity
Announcing second annual 5K & Fun Run to fight childhood obesity. This event is being hosted by the Palm Beach County Council of PTA/PTSA & CoachRoudyFightsChildhoodObesity. Our goal is to empower children to develop healthy lifestyle habits & a lifelong love of physical activity.
Funds raised will be granted to PTAs for health and sport programs in our schools. The 5K & Fun Run will be held on the main campus of Florida Atlantic University on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 9:00am. The event will also offer nutritionist, martial arts & yoga demonstrations and fun physical activities!
This event benefits Palm Beach County Council of PTA/PTSA which supports PTA units throughout Palm Beach County. Be sure to note your school when registering as each school must bring a minimum of 25 participants to be eligible for a Healthy Lifestyles grant!
COSTS:
5K Run (Adults 18 and Over) - $20;
5K Run (Youth 17 and Under) - $5;
and Youth Fun Run (Ages 17 and under) - $5.
A $5 surcharge will be added if you wait to register the day of the race.
* Commemorative T-shirt: Included in price for the first 250 who register.*
ALL CHILDREN REGISTERED IN ADVANCE WILL RECEIVE MEDALS!
5K Awards: To the Top 3 overall M/F runners, the Top Master M/F runner and the Top 3 M/F runners in each age group category.

Volunteers needed: Non-racing volunteers register for free (includes t-shirt if registered before 12/31/09).
